  The Gardens Await...

  The world famous Butchart Gardens is a 121-year-old world famous 55-acre mosaic of gardens located in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Created by Jennie Butchart, and still privately owned and operated by the family, The Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, in 2004 for its one hundredth birthday.
  

  Before the conference kicks off on Sunday evening, we have arranged an optional field trip to Butchart Gardens. What better way to enjoy a summer Sunday?! The $100 per person fee includes bus transport to and from the gardens (about a 50 minute ride), admission, and a buffet lunch with your colleagues at the Garden's Blue Poppy restaurant.

  Feel free to bring your family and friends. Registration is limited to 80.

  Nestled between the tranquil waters of the Salish Sea and the mighty rainforests of Vancouver Island, we invite you to join us in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia for the 64th Annual Conference of the Society of Nematologists.

  Registration check-in and the opening reception will take place on Sunday, July 13th at the Victoria Convention Center.

  Scientific sessions will convene Monday morning, July 14th and run through the evening of Wednesday, July 16th.

  Special Highlights include:
  

  • Plenary and Symposia focused on our theme of Nematodes on the Move: BUILDING RESILIENCE AND SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION AND BETTER POLICIES

  • Presentations and workshops about the most recent scientific findings in the field of Nematology

  • An opportunity for students and post-docs to interact with other scientists and industry in a social setting.

  • An awards banquet on our last evening to celebrate and recognize our outstanding student scholars, the Syngenta Crop Protection Awardee, a new SON Fellow and the announcement of our newest Honorary Member!

  • Breakfasts, morning and afternoon coffee breaks as well as the opening reception, poster session wine and cheese and the plated banquet dinner are included in your registration fee

• Annual Conference Reception and Awards Banquet

  A full conference registration includes an invitation to the Awards banquet reception and  dinner for the registrant on the final night, Weds July 16th.  You are welcome to bring your partner, family or friends to the reception and banquet dinner, but you will need to purchase an extra ticket.

  The only registration category that does not include the Awards banquet is the one-day pass. If you have registered in this category and would like to attend, please purchase a banquet ticket to join in the celebration.
