Poster and Video Upload Instructions

Participants will receive an email with a link to our Figshare page. You do not need to create an account in order to access the page, but you may wish to if you want to use Figshare for storing and sharing other files.

When you fill in the form with descriptive information associated with your poster files, make sure to add VirtualSON in the Keyword box. This is very important for indexing your presentation to the poster collection page.

While Figshare can be used to share information widely to the public, the way the page was set up limits access to those who have been given the URL to the page or the keyword.

Deadline for uploading posters is Dec 11 to allow some time to resolve any issues prior to the conference.

Recommended Poster Dimensions: Although any dimensions can be used, remember that attendees will be viewing posters on their computer screens. We recommend that posters be readable without zoom when displayed at full-screen width. We recommend arranging information blocks like

1 > 2 > 3

4 > 5 > 6

7 > 8 > 9

instead of the print poster tradition of

1 4 7

2 5 8

3 6 9.

To get an idea of what posters will look like at Figshare, you can view this poster collection.

Presenters will have option of uploading a 5-minute video describing their poster (Max File Size: 100 MB).

Posters will be available for viewing by meeting registrants through Jan 30.

Note:  Final scheduling for live Q&A will depend on the total number of submissions.

Note: Session Assignments will go out by Dec 8. If you have a conflict, contact andrea.skantar@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to accommodate, but you may get put in a session on another topic at our discretion.
