SON2026 Symposia Announcement

Thank you to the dedicated individuals and committees who worked together to submit proposals for a symposium or workshop. SON2026 promises to stir up a lot of discussion about the future of our discipline.

The Symposia selected for this year's conference are:

• Artificial Intelligence Applications in Nematology: Identification, Education, Extension, and  Molecular Discovery (Education Committee)

• Methods for Characterizing Nematode Communities – from extraction methods to AI and high throughput sequencing (Ecology Committee)

• Advancing Entomopathogenic Nematodes for Next-Generation Pest Management (Entomophillic Nematology Committee)

• Bridging Disciplines: Insights from Academia, Industry, and Government (Graduate Student and Post-Doc Committee)

• Innovations & Industry Updates (Industry Committee)

• Host plant resistance and evolution of nematode virulence in a changing world (Plant Resistance to Nematodes Committee)

• Linking Diagnostic Laboratories, Extension, and Growers for Nematode Solutions (Extension Committee)

These offerings along with contributed individual scientific oral and poster presentations will make for an enriching meeting.

     Conference registration and Student Travel Award applications OPEN! 

April 1^st – Student travel award application deadline (winners announced by 4/15/26);

     

May 1^st – Abstract submission deadline (submission link provided in registration confirmation email)

       Early registration deadline

May 15^th – Field Trip and Industry-Social registration deadline

June 12^th – Last day to reserve a hotel room at the conference rate
