The Society of Nematologists is proud to support the mission of the American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS). As a member organization, our SON membership can receive priority access to and discounts on the American Institute of Biological Sciences programs and services

AIBS is made up of a diverse group of 118 member organizations, including scholarly societies, professional associations, academic institutions and departments, museums and science collections, and others. Since 1964, AIBS has been affiliated with the publication of BioScience, presenting readers with timely and authoritative overviews of current research in biology, accompanied by essays and discussion sections on education, public policy, history, and the conceptual underpinnings of the biological sciences.

      The American Institute of Biological Sciences (AIBS) is pleased to share with you our upcoming programs and some opportunities to provide a benefit to your membership and staff.  Because of your organization’s membership in AIBS, members of your community receive priority access to and discounts on AIBS programs and services.  

      We are pleased to announce that we have announced dates for our 2021 Virtual Advocacy Event.  The event is scheduled for April 19-23, 2021.  In conjunction with this program, AIBS is offering our highly acclaimed Communications Boot Camp for Scientists online on April 19-20.  Any participant who is nominated by your organization will receive a discounted registration for this training.  Your organization does not have to pay their registration – just confirm their affiliation.  Registration can be completed at: https://bit.ly/3pmtXKY.

      In addition, we are offering an online version of our Enabling Interdisciplinary and Team Science Workshop on April 5-6, 2021.  This intensive, two-day, interactive, professional development course was developed by scientists and experts on collaboration and teamwork to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to become productive and effective members of scientific teams.  Information about this program, including how to register, is available at https://bit.ly/2Y884mV.
