IMPORTANT CHANGES TO HOW THE JOURNAL OF NEMATOLOLGY IS OPERATED – PLEASE READ
In response to Society of Nematologists membership requests and voting by the membership of the SON major changes are being made in the way we operate the Journal of Nematology. These changes will increase the accessibility to, timeliness of, and impact factor of our journal. If you have questions/concerns about these changes please contact Nancy Kokalis-Burelle (nancy.burelle@ars.usda.gov) or Jim LaMondia (james.lamondia@ct.gov).
Specific changes include:
1. No pages charges to SON members. Page charges will remain the same for non-members ($US125/page).
2. Printed copies for SON members will be discontinued. Universal access to JON will be through The Florida Center for Library Automation at http://journals.fcla.edu/jon/index.
3. Printed copies of JON will still be distributed to our library subscribers at a cost of $US140 for US subscriptions and $US160 for international subscriptions.
4. All submissions to JON will be done online through our new peer-track system supported by Allen Press. This feature is in testing and will be launched by May 1, 2012. SON members will receive an automated email from the system with an invitation to log-in and personalize their profile.
We are excited about these changes; however we anticipate that we will encounter things that need to be modified. Please be patient and don’t hesitate to contact us with ideas on how to make our journal the best it can be.
